About Us
At Afro Curios, we believe that culture should be celebrated, shared, and woven into everyday life. This journey started nearly three years ago with a vision to elevate Cameroon’s rich textile heritage and bring it to the forefront of luxury African fashion. Growing up, I often saw how iconic cultural traditions like dashikis, kente, and geles became woven into daily life and conversations. I wanted to do the same for Cameroon—introduce something uniquely Cameroonian to the world that could be embraced across cultures. I've always admired the rich tradition of the Toghu textile, a vibrant fabric from Cameroon’s Grassfields region, and knew it would be the perfect foundation for our brand.
After working across multiple continents to refine this idea, I returned home to partner with skilled Cameroonian artisans who bring this vision to life. Each piece in our collection is custom-designed and crafted using hand-guided machine embroidery. This meticulous process allows for every intricate Toghu pattern to be stitched directly onto the fabric with precision and care, honoring tradition while ensuring quality and durability. Our artisans work tirelessly to ensure each garment reflects Cameroon’s textile heritage and the artistry embedded in every stitch.
Afro Curios is more than just clothing—it’s a bridge between Cameroonian heritage and modern design. We invite you to wear your cultural pride proudly, knowing that every Afro Curios piece tells a story of craftsmanship, resilience, and elegance, created to be cherished for years to come.
